Measure what can be measured!
Recently an expensive project, aimed at reducing overweight among housewives, was accompanied by a complementary study. In this study, the researchers documented carefully how the women viewed their own bodies, what their attitudes towards sports and healthy eating were, and how these changed during the course of the project, how their families were involved in facilitating the change of diet, etc … only the weights of the ladies, and examining whether they were actually got leaner was not part of the project! A missed opportunity, waste of money and the unnecessary costs remain. What recession?
